Data Deletion

Stilo is an affiliate marketing platform that connects creators and merchants. We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we collect, how you can request its deletion, and what happens when you do.

What data we collect

Depending on how you use Stilo, we may store the following information:

  • Account information — name, email address, username, and profile picture.
  • Social account data — when you connect your Instagram account via Facebook Login, we store your Instagram username, profile information, and media data necessary for the platform's social mention features.
  • Merchant integration data — for merchants who connect their e-commerce store (e.g., Shopify), we store credentials and order data related to affiliate commissions.
  • Activity data — affiliate link clicks, order records, earnings, and storefront analytics.

How to request data deletion

Option 1: Disconnect and delete from your account

If you have an active Stilo account, you can disconnect linked social accounts and integrations directly from your account settings. This removes the associated data from our systems.

Option 2: Email us

Send an email to santiago@stilo.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address or username associated with your Stilo account
  • The Instagram username connected to Stilo (if applicable)
  • A description of what data you would like deleted (or "all data")

What happens after a request

  • We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days.
  • Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of confirmation.
  • Some data may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., completed financial transactions for tax and audit records). In such cases, the data will be anonymized where possible.

Facebook & Instagram data

If you logged into Stilo using Facebook Login or connected your Instagram account, you can also remove Stilo's access to your data directly from your Facebook App Settings. Removing the app will revoke our access, and we will delete the associated data within 30 days.
